This project falls within the field of digital humanities, in the context of evolving methodologies driven by the democratization of tools and software for digitization and data processing. It focuses on studying territories at various scales and their transformations, with particular attention to the built heritage that defines them. In this diachronic and multiscalar context, it is essential to analyze the scientific approaches undertaken by interdisciplinary actor systems to produce knowledge around a shared object of study.
By leveraging the semantic enrichment of spatialized representations, the aim is to devise mechanisms that better structure and interlink heterogeneous datasets in an nD (multi-dimensional) context. This will be followed by exploring the methods for investigating, querying, and correlating these datasets to uncover new, perhaps unexpected, insights.
The proposed approach is agile, centered on developing tools—true intermediate objects—that will facilitate data aggregation and enhance perspectives.
