Travel information

The meeting will take place in the campus of Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, in Villeurbanne (attached to Lyon). The campus is accessible by two tramway lines (T1 and T4) from the center of Lyon.

Transportation

Access to Lyon is quick and direct from many major European cities. Also, while in the city, there are  various types of transport such as buses, metro, taxis, rental cars and bicycles. More information – ONLYLYON

By plane

  • The closest international airport is Lyon Saint Exupéry (LYS).

  • Shuttles connect the airport to the train station Lyon Part-Dieu in 30 minutes (departure every 15 minutes from 6am to 9pm, and every 30 minutes from 5am to 6am and 9pm to midnight). See RHONEXPRESS

  • Use the tramway line (T1, direction IUT FEYSSINE) to connect the train station Lyon Part-Dieu and the campus in ~20 minutes. See TCL

You can queue for taxis outside the airport arrivals exit. The travel to the campus costs about 60 euros (book a taxi : www.taxilyonnais.com)
