SAARA – Simulation, Analysis, Animation for Augmented Reality

SAARA is a research team of the laboratory LIRIS (UMR-CNRS 5205). Research activities of SAARA focuses on the links existing between real and virtual (simulated) humans. With the constraints of real-time, interactivity and physical realism, various topics are treated:

  • Capture, analyse and interaction of moving humans seen by images sensors (video, photos) in order to democratize motion capture approaches for wild range of computer vision applications;
  • Interactive animation and simulation to produce realistic computer animations of human or physical phenomena for real-time applications;
  • Bio-physical modeling and simulation of interaction/behavior/deformation of human organs based on physical models in many multi-disciplinary domains

Keywords

Simulation of deformable objects by physical models – Parallel simulation algorithms – Capture and motion analysis – Modelling from photos – Transfer and synthesis of animation
