Frédérique Biennier (head of SOC team)
Frédérique Biennier is Professor at the Computer Science Department (INSA de LYON) since 2000.Her teching activity focuses on networks organisation, information system security, Distributed architecture, (Lean) Service organisation. Her research focuses on Service systems and Cloud Computing, focusing on introperability and security and extending the traditional XaaS model to the Business level
She is a member of SOCOLNET ans IFIP WG5.5 and WG5.7 working groups.

Chirine Ghedira (co-head of SOC team)
Chirine Ghedira is actually full professor of Computer Science (Informatics) at the University of Lyon in France. She was head of the SOC research group at the LIRIS laboratory till october 2011. Her research interests include web service technology, interoperabilty, distributed and heterogeneous information systems. Her research concentrates on Web service Mediation / web service composition, Service-oriented Information Systems (SoIS) and Context-aware Computing. A more recent thread of research interest concerns data services and Cloud Computing. Her recent works were published in IEEE Internet Computing, IEEE IT Professional, IEEE Computer Society and ACM Transactions On Internet Technology.
She participated to the organisation of different scientific events (the international conference Notere 2008, The 32nd annual international conference on Computers in Cardiology CInC 2005, The International Workshop on Context for Web Services CWS 2005).
Djamal Benslimane
Djamal Benslimane is currently a Professor at the University of Lyon in France. He is the co-head of the SOC research group at the LIRIS laboratory. His research interests lie in the areas of Distributed Information Systems, Ontologies and Web services. His recent works were published in IEEE Internet Computing, IEEE IT Professional, ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology, Communications of the ACM, and ACM Transactions On Internet Technology.
He has also co-organized different scientific events (e.g., local chair of the international conference Notere 2008, FQAS~2004, ICDE-Interdb 2006 Workshop on database interoperability, and VLDB-InterDB 2007, etc.), and special issues on Context-Aware Web Services in the Distributed and Parallel Databases International Journal (Springer, 2007), and service mashups in IEEE Internet Computing magazine (2008).
Youssef Amghar
Youssef AMGHAR is Professor in the field of information systems at the University of Lyon. His field of teaching concern project management, databases and development processes. His is an active member of SOC team.
His current research interests include business process, services, interoperability of applications and legal documents modeling. He is author of several papers related to these research activities and managed some projects about decisions support and elearning.
Parisa Ghodous
Parisa Ghodous is currently Professor at University of Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in France. She has leaded the collaborative information systems in LIRIS Laboratory. Her research interests are in the areas of cloud computing,interoperability, collaborative Information Systems, concurrent engineering, Ontologies and Web services. She has organized serveral conferences in the field of CE. She is a member of several experts groups (interop, Afnor, EPPPM, ISPE etc.) She is also in the board of several journals (CERA, ICAE, IJAM,…)
Nabila Benharkat
Aïcha-Nabila Benharkat is Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department (INSA de LYON) since 1992.In this role, she worked on the Integration of heterogeneous databases using Description Logics. Currently, her research interests include the interoperability domain, schema matching techniques in small and large scale, business process as well as the interoperability in service oriented information system and quality and Web services discovery.
She participated to the organisation of scientific events (the international conference Notere 2008, TICE 2002(Technologies de l’Information et de la Connaissance dans l’Enseignement Supérieur et dans l’Industrie). She is member of several conference program committees.

Noura Faci
Noura Faci is Associate Professor at the Université Claude Bernard (Lyon1) in France. She defended her PhD in Computer Science, on December 2007, at the Université Champagne-Ardenne (Reims), France.
Her research interests are fault tolerance, trust, service computing, social networks, and Enterprise 2.0.
Mahmoud Barhamgi
Mahmoud Barhamgi is an Associate Professor at the at University of Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in France. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from this same university, in October 2010, and his Master's degree in Computer Science from INSA of Lyon in 2005.
His main research interests include: Cloud Computing, Web Service Composition, Data Integration Using Ontologies,
RDF Query Rewriting, Data Privacy Preservation,
P2P Data mediation.
Youakim Badr
Youakim Badr, Ph.D is currently Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department (INSA de LYON) since 2004. Through his research activities he has acquired skills in fields such as System Design and Service-Oriented Architectures, Interoperability and Integration, Web services, and Service Composition and Bundling.
His current academic research interests include services in both the service sector and ICT. In particular, he is working on data driven and requirements aided composition paradigm that preserves agility, interoperability and flexible collaboration in IT-enabled services.
Dr. Badr is vigorously involved in a series of international conferences (AINA’10, INCoS’09, CSTST’08, ICDIM’07,… ) and serves as a reviewer for various journals (ACM review, Scientific Journals International, Elsevier Editorial System, … ). He leads the Global Membership Programs at the Service Research and Innovation Institute (
SRII). He also is a professional member of ACM, IEEE Services Computing, and associate member of
SOCOLNET and
S-CUBE.
Catarina Ferreira da Silva
Karim Benouaret
Karim Benouaret is associate professor at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from this same university, in October 2012, and his Master's degree in Computer Science from Université de Béjaïa in July 2009. During 2013-2014, he was a teaching and research assistant at Télécom Saint-Etienne, and during 2012-2013, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Inria Nancy – Grand Est.
His main research interests include: Preference Queries — Skyline Queries, Top-k Queries, Flexible Querying; Services Computing; Crowdsourcing; and everything that looks interesting (mostly optimization related).

During his M.Sc. thesis, he worked on intelligent and dynamic plugging of software components, focusing on networked enterprises. His Ph.D. thesis proposes an ontology-based approach for knowledge management and conflict dealing in collaborative environments.
