SAARA #
SAARA is a research team at the LIRIS laboratory in Lyon, France. Its scientific themes focus on the simulation, analysis, and animation of complex scenes involving virtual humans in motion, with an emphasis on Augmented Reality environments. Describing such scenes has led to the development of the following two research directions:
-
Capture, analysis, and transfer of geometric, photometric, and kinematic data of a moving human, based on image sensors (video, photos). The objective is to democratize capture and animation tools to facilitate the creation of new realistic animations.
-
Simulation of interactions and behaviors of deformable human organs, relying on physical models. These aspects have implications for numerous medical-related problems.
The targeted applications span the medical field and digital entertainment (video games, multimedia, etc.).
Keywords: Interactive physical simulation, Motion capture, Motion analysis, Motion generation, Augmented Reality.
