CEDAR (Constraint Event Driven Automated Reasoning) is two-year ANR Chair of Excellence project at the LIRIS that has just recently reached completion as per its planned schedule (Jan. 2013 - Jan. 2015). In this presentation, I will overview the issues and challenges taken on by the project - essentially the systematic experimental evaluation of Semantic Web reasoning systems (Track 1) and the management of Big Linked Data (Track 2), as well as proposing our own systems for each track. I will summarize the main results obtained in both tracks of the project and give some detail on the specification of the implementation of the CEDAR Ontological Reasoner that was prototyped. I will also discuss promising perspectives opened by the CEDAR experience for potential future research exploiting and extending this initial effort.
