Conceptual Models for Bibliographic Information

The library domain has for the last decades been struggling with the implementation of new information models to support modern requirements for exchange, management and use of bibliographic information. This talk will give an introduction to the reference model that was introduced in the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR), describe some of the main challenges and present development and research that we have performed related to the implementation and exploitation of this model.
